The intent of this project is to offer weatherization services to households that are low to moderate incomes in Webb and Zapata counties which would involve replacing HVAC units or installing window units or mini splits. We will also do some minor rehab of homes to address and install ADA measures and make the homes safer and accessible. ADA work requires a physician letter to address the ADA home requirements. For homes that are older than 1978, lead-based environmental issues/requirements will be addressed. Households that may be assisted are those who qualify under established family income guidelines as determined by HUD and meet the eligibility criteria as established in Housing Rehabilitation Program Policy and Procedures Manual.

This program is not intended to remodel entire home but to add energy efficiencies and safety measures.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Must meet income guidelines (up to 120% ami, priority to 80% ami or below) See Income Chart Below

Homeowners must live in the home and provide proof

Home must be of sound structure suitable for the repairs intended
